01 Acceptance of Terms
Hartford Pressure Washing provides residential and commercial exterior cleaning services across Calgary, Airdrie, Cochrane, Chestermere, Okotoks and surrounding communities within a 60 km service radius of downtown Calgary. These Terms of Service govern every quote, contract and project we undertake.
By submitting a quote request, accepting a written quote, or authorising work to begin, you agree to these terms. They apply alongside the specific scope, price and schedule set out in your written quote.
02 Scope of Service
All work performed by Hartford Pressure Washing is described in the written quote that you receive after the on-site visit. Scope includes surfaces to be cleaned, chemistry and technique used, expected outcome, exclusions, and total price.
Pricing varies by surface, square footage, condition, access difficulty, and travel. All quotes are written, line-itemised, and honoured for 30 days from the issue date.
Where a property condition (deep contamination, structural concern, neighbouring landscape) makes the scope materially harder than the on-site visit estimated, we pause the work and discuss revised scope before continuing. No surprise charges.
03 Estimates and Quotes
On-site visits and written quotes are free. There is no obligation to book after receiving the quote.
Verbal estimates given over the phone are approximate only. Final pricing is always confirmed in the written quote after the on-site visit.
Quotes specify the surfaces, square footage, chemistry, technique, and expected outcome. The written quote is the binding scope document; verbal additions on the day of work must be confirmed in writing or added to a revised quote.
- Quotes valid 30 days from issue date.
- Pricing subject to revision after that window.
- Discount and bundle eligibility confirmed at the quote stage and line-itemised on the written quote.
04 Scheduling and Weather
Once you accept a written quote, we schedule the on-site work date. Typical lead time is 5-7 business days for residential, 2-3 weeks for commercial contracts, longer in peak season (April-June).
Calgary weather conditions occasionally require rescheduling. We will not perform exterior cleaning during active rain, snow, sub-zero temperatures (frost-prevention), or sustained wind above 40 km/h (chemistry overspray safety).
Weather-related rescheduling is at no additional cost. We give you 24 hours notice when possible. Same-day reschedules happen rarely and only when safety requires it.
05 Payment Terms
Payment is due on completion of work. We accept e-transfer, credit card, debit, and cheque. Cash is accepted for residential work under $1,000.
For commercial contracts, net-15 payment terms apply on invoices once an active contract is in place. Multi-property HOA and strata accounts may negotiate net-30 terms in the master agreement.
Financing through our Alberta-licensed lending partner is available for projects $1,500+ residential and $5,000+ commercial. Financing decisions are between you and the lender; Hartford is paid in full on completion regardless of your financing arrangement.
- Late payment fee: 1.5% per month on overdue balances past 30 days.
- Returned cheque fee: $35.
- Disputed charges must be raised within 14 days of invoice date.
06 14-Day Re-Do Warranty
Hartford Pressure Washing guarantees the quality of our work. If, within 14 days of project completion, you identify an area that was inadequately cleaned within the scope of the original written quote, we will return and re-clean that area at no additional charge.
The 14-day warranty covers cleaning quality only. It does not cover: substrate damage from pre-existing conditions, re-contamination from environmental factors (new algae growth, fresh oil spills, weather events), or scope items not included in the original written quote.
To invoke the warranty, contact us by phone or email within 14 days of completion with the area of concern. We will schedule the re-do visit within 5-7 business days of the call.
07 Cancellation Policy
You may cancel a scheduled project at any time up to 48 hours before the work date with no cancellation fee. Email or phone notice is sufficient.
Cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled work date incur a $150 mobilisation fee to cover crew scheduling and equipment preparation. Same-day cancellations (work day morning) incur a $300 fee.
Weather-related cancellations initiated by Hartford (not by you) carry no cancellation fee. Rescheduling is at no charge.
Maintenance program clients may pause or cancel their plan with 30 days written notice. No cancellation fee. Completed visits are billed at the maintenance rate.
08 Liability and Insurance
Hartford Pressure Washing carries $5 million commercial general liability insurance plus WCB Alberta clearance. Certificate of Insurance available on request, naming the property owner or property management company as additional insured.
We are responsible for damage caused by Hartford crew negligence during the scope of work. We are NOT responsible for: damage from pre-existing structural defects (loose siding panels that detach during cleaning, failing mortar that crumbles, rotted wood that disintegrates), damage from substrate conditions we flagged in the quote and you chose to proceed despite, or damage from third-party causes (storms, vandalism, animals) during or after our work.
09 Privacy and Data Handling
Hartford Pressure Washing collects personal information (name, address, phone, email, property details) only to deliver quoted services. We do not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Information collected during the on-site visit (property photographs, substrate notes, written quote) is retained for 7 years as part of our project record per Alberta business records practice. After 7 years, project records are securely destroyed.
We comply with PIPEDA (Canadian federal privacy law) and Alberta PIPA (provincial privacy law). To request a copy of, correction to, or deletion of your personal data, email the contact address with your request and we respond within 30 days.
10 Accessibility Commitment
The Hartford Pressure Washing website targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance: colour contrast above 4.5:1, keyboard-navigable forms and menus, screen-reader-compatible markup, alt text on every image. The site is reviewed quarterly with axe DevTools and manual screen-reader testing.
Alternative communication channels are available for clients who cannot use the web form: phone (613) 324-9141 with live operator Mon-Sat 7am-7pm, email to the contact address, postal mail to the Calgary office for written correspondence.
Physical service accommodations (longer scheduling windows, written communication for hearing-impaired clients, quieter equipment for noise-sensitive properties) are available on request when you book the quote.
To report an accessibility issue, email the contact address with the page URL, the issue you encountered, and the assistive technology you were using. We acknowledge within 48 hours and prioritise the fix for the next quarterly review.
11 Dispute Resolution
If you have any concern about our work, please contact the owner-operator directly within 14 days of completion. Most concerns are resolved by a single conversation or a no-charge follow-up visit.
Unresolved disputes proceed through a three-step process: written description of the issue submitted by email, on-site review by the owner-operator within 10 business days, written resolution proposal within 5 business days of the review.
If the three-step process does not produce a mutually acceptable resolution, the dispute may proceed to small claims or civil mediation under Alberta jurisdiction. Hartford will not initiate legal action without first completing the three-step process in good faith.
12 Photography and Marketing
Hartford Pressure Washing photographs project before-and-after work for internal records and quality control. We may use these photographs in marketing materials (website gallery, social media, blog posts) without additional permission, with the following restrictions:
- House numbers and other identifying details are blurred or cropped out unless you specifically authorise their inclusion.
- No interior of the home is ever photographed.
- Photographs are never sold to third parties or used in advertising for other companies.
- You may opt out of marketing use by emailing us; we exclude your property from all marketing materials and remove any existing references on request.

These terms may be updated periodically. The Last Updated date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision. Significant changes are communicated to active clients (those with completed work within the last 12 months) by email.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. Any legal action arising from these terms shall be brought in the courts of Calgary, Alberta.
